I can't believe I cut my hair! For the first time in my life I have short hair. This was a very scary thing for me to do, when I looked down on the floor and saw my long 5 inches or more of my hair I thought I was going to have a heart attack! Today doing my hair was a little strange or whenever I run my fingers through it, it would just suddenly end! Anyone who knows me really well knows that I have had long hair for forever! I am loving it but it is sure going to take some time to get use to! I was ready for a change and I am so glad I did it!

Weekend Recap

This weekend we...

1. Went and saw Hunger Games. It was AMAZING!

2. Spent Saturday at the Gymnastic Pac 12 Championships. The Red Rocks did awesome and came in 2nd! They should have won!

3. On Sunday I had a GNO with my mom and sister. We had a delicious dinner at Trio.

4. We went and saw Beauty and the Beast. It was so incredible and I felt like a little girl all over again.

We had a great weekend! Now its back to the grind...

The Hunger Games

Alan and I are very excited for a special date we have planned for tomorrow night. We are going to see The Hunger Games!!! I am so unbelievably excited. I read the first book last year while we went on our first cruise. I couldn't put it down, I was addicted. I somehow was able to convince Alan to read it too. To my surprise he found it as equally entertaining as I did! We were hooked and read all 3 books within months of each other. When I discovered they were making a movie I was ecstatic! Although I am excited for the movie i do wonder if it will live up to the expectations. The books are amazing and I hope they are able to portray that on the big screen, I really hope we aren't disappointed.

Hi my name is Dani and I am obsessed with Harry Potter.

This is how it started...

A few months ago Alan and I were bored and decided to go to Walmart. While we there looking at random dvd's we stumbled upon some Harry Potter movies. They were clearing out all the HP movies. We got each movie for like $4. Alan decided it would be a good idea to invest in all these movies, My first reaction was uh why?? He said because someday our kids are going to like Harry Potter and this way we will already have them. Alan or I have never read the books and he has seen all the movies but never got that into it and I had seen a few movies and fell asleep through most of them. We decided sure why not lets get them! A few days later we decided to start watching them, by the 3rd movie I was absolutely obsessed!!! I would stay up till the whee hours of the morning just to finish the movie. I still feel a little silly that my obsession has come when all the chaos has come to an end, but I guess better late than never! Friday night we finally finished watching all the movies in order. It was amazing to see how now everything made sense. I saw the last movie in theaters and had no idea what was going on. I now have to admit that my obsession is not over, I am now getting into the books. I started reading it last night and I can't put it down. I feel like a little kid all over again. It is no surprise that J.K. Rowling is a freaking billionaire. I guess it is safe to say that I have a some sleepless nights ahead of me!!

That is my little secret...can you say nerd?? I think so! :)

Family Ski Day

A few weekends ago Alan and I had the opportunity to go skiing with some of his family up in Park City. The weather was awesome and the snow was great! It was our first time up for the season....can you believe it?? March...Seriously?? The "winter" we have had here in Utah is pretty lame, but I am sure that Mother Nature will make up for it in May. :)

Crusin' 2012

For Christmas this year, Alan's parents gave the ENTIRE family a cruise! We went on a Disney Cruise to Mexico. It was amazing! We had such an incredible time spending time with the family, relaxing, and getting away from "real life" We are still trying to adjust to being home. If you have never been on a cruise I highly recommend it. We were seriously treated like royalty the whole time. Disney does it good! The entertainment was amazing the food was delicious and the ship was incredible!!


Here is a recap of our trip:


Alan and I left a day early and went to Disneyland just the two us! We left SLC at 6:00AM, it was brutal but we made to Sunny California by 8:00AM. We were like two little kids running around all day from ride to ride. It was awesome! We did so much stuff in one day and we had a blast. We were a little busy having fun so please excuse the lack of pictures.




Sunday was our first day on the ship. We got on the ship in the afternoon, of course we immediately went and ate lunch. We then went and got to explore the ship and our room which was beautiful. It was also Superbowl Sunday so we got to watch the game and then we set sail!

Monday was our first day at sea. It was a beautiful sunny day! We just relaxed and hung out at the pool and got a little sunburned it was awesome. We had a dress up night at dinner and the food was amazing!




Tuesday was our second day at sea. The weather was so warm and nice. We spend the day relaxing and being lazy. In the morning we got to go to a character breakfast and meet all the Disney Characters. Our nieces and nephews loved it! It was so sweet to see all them get so excited. They also made us funny hats with napkins!



Wednesday we finally made it to Puerto Vallarta! It was so hot, it felt so nice! We had the exciting opportunity to swim with Dolphins! It was probably one of the coolest things I have ever done. It was so fun and the Dolphins were so sweet and nice. The place where we went to swim with dolphins was also a water park. They had some pretty awesome slides! We also went to an exclusive restaurant on the ship called Palo. It was an Italian restaurant and it was sooooooooooooo good. The food was so delicious I could have eaten there all night!













Thursday we arrived in Cabo San Lucas. We went on an awesome sail boat! It was huge and we had it all to our family. They took us to the best snorkel spot. We snorkeled for awhile and then they took us on a tour of Cabo. It was so fun! They gave us lunch and had everything we needed! It was so fun. Cabo is absolutely beautiful and we had such a fun time. Thursday was also the Pirate Party. They shot fire works off the boat and it was so cool. They also had a buffet after dinner on the top deck. They also had a dance party! It was so fun! Alan and I also were feeling a little crazy and decided to sing Karaoke. If anyone knows me they know that you couldn't pay me to get up and sing in front of a crowd but I did it! We sang Poker Face by Lady Gaga. It was terrible but hopefully entertaining! :)







Friday we stayed in Cabo for a half day. We just shopped around and explored. We spent the rest of the day at the pool. Cabo was awesome because we saw so many whales! The second we left Cabo the weather got a little scary! The sun was out but it was so windy and the boat was rocking sooooo bad! It was crazy, you think that because your on a massive ship that it wouldn't move but that's not the case at all!




Saturday was our last day at sea. It was crazy weather. It was cloudy and windy. The ship was rocking up, down, and side to side! We started our day out with brunch at Palo, which was of course AMAZING! We then just hung around and were lazy all day!




We had such an amazing trip! Alan is currently busy planning our next cruise! Thank you Sevy's for such a wonderful trip and the fun memories! We love you and can't wait for our next vacation!!
