The Sunshine State

When we found out that Alan got into Dental School in Florida we thought it would be the perfect opportunity for us to use our companion tickets and go check out our new home. I was terrified to fly with Madeline for several reasons: 1. She was only 2 months old was she going to do ok or was she going to scream the whole time? 2. Flu season is still in full swing. She did awesome! She loved the airplane and pretty much just slept the whole time and no one got sick! It was so nice to go visit somewhere warm (in the 80's) while it was freezing here! We did a lot of apartment searching and exploring the area but we also tried to do some fun things as well.

 We went and visited the Aquarium, Madeline loved it at first then fell asleep!

 We ate a great place we found on Food Networks Diners, Drive ins, and Dives

When your baby is too little to wear sunscreen you have to improvise!

We had a fantastic first family vacation with the three of us! Madeline was so good! We were able to take her everywhere and she really enjoyed it! We had so much fun seeing where we are going to be spending the next three years! 

2 Months Old

I can't believe Miss Madeline is already 2 months old! She is so much fun and I just love seeing her sweet personality come out more and more! She is such a good baby and we feel so lucky! She is such an amazing blessing in our lives and I can't imagine life without her!

Here are some things that Madeline does at 2 months old:

• She loves to smile, every time it makes my heart burst! She has the cutest little dimples in her chin and cheeks when she has a big smile.
• She sleeps through the night! This is the best ever!! Everyone keeps telling us how lucky we are....Trust me, we know!
• She has gotten to be the best eater. She is very efficient and gets the job done.
• She loves to have blowouts, I am not so fond of this..anyone want to do my laundry for me??
• She is less and less sleepy during the day and loves to play!
• She loves to kick her legs and stretch them out, we call them her bicycle legs.
• She loves to suck on her paci, sometimes it is a real life savor!
• She has some pretty volumized hair! I love her sweet little mow hawk  everyone keeps telling me that her hair is going to fall out. I better enjoy it while she has it!
• She is trying so hard to laugh, she will open her mouth but nothing comes out! I bet it happens any day now!
• She had her shots at the doctor and was so brave and only cried for like 30 seconds!
• She now weighs 9 lbs and 7 oz, she is in the 28% for her height, and 18% for her weight. 

We love this little girl so much! I love that she is mine forever!

Blessing Day

Today was sweet Madeline's blessing day. It was a wonderful day filled with love, family, and friends! Her Dad did an amazing job and it was a beautiful day. Thanks to all of those who helped with the occasion and supported her!

This weekend we...

• Had Nielson's Frozen Custard, and it was soooooooooooo Delicious!
• caught up with friends, we have been a little out of the loop lately
• played with our adorable baby girl
• baked some delicious cake mix cookies
• made homemade Carmel popcorn
• Did some shopping and spent way too much money
• Watched the Super bowl and ate way too much food

We had a great weekend spending some quality family time together!
