Merry Christmas!

I promise we have not fallen off the face of the Earth...We have been extremely busy the last couple months. It would take way too long to update on everything we have been up to lately so I will start with the most recent, CHRISTMAS!

we had a wonderful Christmas and we were spoiled rotten by each other and our families. We spent Christmas Eve with Alan's family for dinner. There was also a special visitor, Santa! Santa Claus came and it was awesome. It was so fun to see all the nieces and nephews sit on his lap and they were so excited. We then went and opened presents with my Dad's family. This is always so fun and I love seeing all of my family. After we left my Aunts house we came home and opened our Pajama's from each other. This is my favorite tradition that Alan and I have started. On Christmas we woke up really early (because I was so excited, I swear I still feel like a seven year old) We saw what Santa brought us and opened our gifts for each other. We made breakfast and then went to church. It was wonderful to go to church and remember the birth of our Savior because that is what Christmas is all about. After church we went to Alan's parents and exchanged gifts with his family. We were once again spoiled and feel so blessed with all the amazing thoughtful gifts we got. After Alan's parents we went up to my parents and had dinner with my family and my grandpa. My mom made a wonderful dinner and we were stuffed, we then opened presents with my family and were once again spoiled! We had such a memorable Christmas and feel so blessed with all the wonderful things we have in our life. We want to thank our families for all the wonderful things they do for us and we love them so much!!

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Lets bring on the New Year!!

San Diego 2011

A couple weeks ago we went to San Diego with my family. My parents rented a beach house in Mission beach just a house away from the sand. It was awesome!! The best part was Alan and I were able to go for the whole time and not just a couple of days. We went for a full week of relaxation. It was bliss! We had such a fun time. We played on the beach, went shopping, kayaking, ate a lot of great food, and hung out with our family! It was so nice to get away for a week and rest up before Alan started school and I had to go back to work.

Here are some pictures.....

Thanks Cash/Dean Family for a wonderful vacation! We can't wait for the next one!! Love you guys! :)

What we have been up to...

Wow! This summer is just flying right on by. We have been so busy lately and things are crazy at the Sevy home. We are now all moved in to our new apartment and let me tell you that we were very efficient. Alan and I have finally realized that we are grown ups and we are becoming much more responsible. We were completely moved into apartment in two days and completely unpacked in less than a week! Now, this may not seem like a good accomplishment for you but for US it is huge!! We lived in are old place for two years and never completely unpacked so this is great progress. Our apartment looks great! We love it here and are happy to finally have a place of our own. I wanted to document the whole moving process but needless to say I was a little preoccupied doing other things like packing, moving, unpacking, and bossing other people around telling them where to put stuff. :) I am sad I didn't get a picture with our apartment filled with boxes because every room was piled to the ceiling. It was a good reality check that we have way tooooooooooo much stuff! I did however get a picture of Alan putting together some of our new furniture which with the help of his dad and brother got done pretty quickly.

Thanks to everyone who helped us move, we SERIOUSLY could not have done it without you. We are so blessed to have such great family and friends. We love you guys and you are awesome!!

What else have we been up to lately...

We celebrated our two year wedding anniversary! We are now no longer newlyweds. The last two years have gone by so fast, it feels just like yesterday that it was our wedding day. I had no idea it was possible but I love Alan more and more each day and I am so glad he is mine forever.

Alan surprised me and took me to the Little America. I truly felt like a princess. It was so fun and nice to relax and take a break from packing. We also went to the Grand Buffet for brunch which was AMAZING! It was so delicious and after that meal I didn't need to eat for a week.

We also celebrated my golden birthday! It turned 23 on the 23rd. I had the best birthday ever! I was spoiled by everyone and they all made my day so special. I also got to celebrate Beth and Landon's wedding which was amazing and they are such a great couple. It was a great Birthday!

Alan and I went to the Kenny Chesney Concert last Saturday night out at Usana. It was both of our first time going to a concert there and it was sooo fun. We had such a fun time and it was great to enjoy the beautiful summer night. Leaving the concert on the other hand sucked, we sat in the parking lot in the same spot for like an hour and a half. Next time we are sleeping in the car! :)

Sorry for the long post but this poor blog has been neglected. Well that's what we have been up to!

Changes...

Life has been so busy and crazy lately. Alan has been studying non stop since finals ended for the DAT. His computer died on us so he has had to use mine for studying, that is why our blog has been so neglected lately.

We have some big changes coming up.. We are moving from our cute and HUGE basement apartment that we live in now. When we first got married we moved into one of Alan Aunt's basements. It has been a great place for us to start our marriage and we have been so lucky. We will be moving into a new apartment in Holladay and we are so excited. We have a lot of things that need to be done before we move but we are excited to move into our own place and get it all set up!

Another big change that happened is....I got a promotion at work!! I have been an assistant teacher and I now have the opportunity to be a lead teacher of my own class! My first day in my new class is Tuesday and I am so excited! The whole experience was extremely bitter sweet. I am going to really miss my class that I was in and my co teacher. My co teacher was so sweet and hooked me up with some great stuff for my new classroom. Don't worry on Friday I cried and was so sad to be leaving my old class and co teacher behind but I can't wait to have my own classroom and get some new students!! It is going to be so much fun!!

I know this is very late but in May I graduated from the University of Utah. It was such a fun day and it was an amazing feeling to graduate from college! I want to Thank every one who came to support me and my parents for having a party for me to celebrate! It was such a blast and I am so happy to say that I am done with school!!!
