18 Months

I can't not believe Miss Madeline is already 18 months! I am absolutely loving this new stage we are in. She is such a happy fun girl! We adore her so much and she makes life so much more interesting! Her personality is coming out more and more the older she gets! She is also very extremely girly, which I absolutely love! Madeline brings such joy to all those around her. Everyone everywhere we go always has to stop and talk to her and make sure to let us know how cute and beautiful she. She is such a sweet girl and has the ability to make anyone smile!

Here are some things she does at 18 months:

  • she is obsessed with shoes. She loves to get them out of her closet and carry them around the house and leave them in piles everywhere she goes.
  • She also loves to carry her purse and/or backpack around the house.
  • She loves to stuff things in boxes. She got a new pair of shoes and has been filling the box with her toys, books, snacks, whatever she can find.
  • She is very good at waving, clapping, and blowing kisses.
  • She loves to say Uh-oh. It is the only actually word she says right now and she says it ALL the time.
  • She loves to make animal sounds, She has perfected the dog, cow, and chicken.
  • She loves to feed herself. She is doing much better at feeding herself independently.
  • This girl is obsessed with reading. She loves books, She brings dozens of books everyday to me to read to her. Once I stop reading to her she will just sit in her room and read to herself. Her all time favorite book right now is Pinkalicious.
  • She is a monkey. She loves to climb, her newest trick is to climb onto the kitchen chairs and onto the table. I am not a huge fan of this!
  • She loves to show us her bellybutton, she then has to lift up your shirt to see your bellybutton as well.
  • She knows all the parts on her face, she does really good with her eyes.ears, mouth, and nose.
  • She loves to pretend to go bye bye. She will gather up her purse, give goodbye kisses and waves then hides behind the couch. It is so cute!
I just love her so much! She is so fun and she just has such a sweet spirit. Alan and I love her so much and are so glad that she is apart of our family! So far the toddler stage is a blast and I can't wait for whats to come! We love you Madeline!

Mother's Day 2014

For Mother's Day this year we decided to have a picnic at the beach. Alan packed a great picnic for us. He made us delicious sandwiches, fruit, chips, drinks, and yummy desserts. We had a fun time relaxing and playing on the beach and watching the sunset. Alan and Madeline made me feel very special and loved. We had a wonderful day! We also want to wish our amazing Mom's a Happy Mother's day! Thank you for all you do for us and your unconditional love for our family! Hope everyone had a great day!

Easter Weekend 2014

We started off Easter weekend by dying Easter eggs with our sweet friends. I was so excited thinking Madeline was old enough to die eggs, well she wasn't really into it. She did enjoy coloring on the eggs and dropping them on the table and even the floor. We had a fun night with the Rubisch's! Thanks for letting us make a mess at your house :)

On Saturday a family in our Church was having a big barbecue and Easter egg hunt. It was so fun! They had a ton of delicious food and they had two separate egg hunts. One for the bigger kids and one for the little kids which was fantastic for Madeline. She caught on right away and loved filling up her basket with eggs. She did a great job!
She loved the bubbles!

Paper confetti eggs! They were so fun!
Grandma and Grandpa Sevy also sent Madeline an Easter egg hunt for her to do. So Alan and I set it up on the beach and she had a blast!

We had a fantastic Easter Sunday as well. The Easter bunny hid all the eggs we had dyed and Madeline found them all. She was also very excited to see her Easter basket. We went to church then came home and had a delicious dinner with all of our friends! I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and for his atonement for me. We hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend as well!

Auntie Visits Florida

We just got to spend the week with my amazing sister! I am so glad that she was able to take time off work and come spend time with us. This trip was extra special and I am so grateful for the time we were able to spend together. We did a lot of fun stuff while she was here visiting. We spent a lot of time at the beach, we went to a state park where we got to see Alligators, we ate some good food, and just enjoyed the company. Madeline has such a special relationship with her aunt and it just melts my heart. I love watching them together and I love that my sister loves her so much!

Alan's school had a big Gala last weekend and it was so much fun. They called it LEprom (sort of cheesy) but we had a blast. We got to get all dressed up and go out for the night! Thank you Brown's for babysitting. We got to have a delicious dinner, they had a raffle and I actually won a itunes gift card. Then we were able to dance the night away! We had such a fun night with our friends and can't wait for next year!
