The Sevy's: Just an update...

Wow I have been the worst blogger ever. I guess with finals and the Holidays we have been super busy and time is flying by! It is probably a little late for a Thanksgiving post but we need to catch up and that is where it all starts! This year for Thanksgiving we went to my parents house to celebrate. Every year my parents have my Dad's whole extended family over and it is a lot of people but it is always fun to see everyone and hang out. Alan started out Thanksgiving by getting together with some boys and playing a game of football. He was so sore and tired but said he had a blast! We then had dinner with my family and just hung out and ate food all night. My family always watches Christmas Vacation after dinner and even though I have seen it about 1,000 times it never gets old! We spent black Friday at home sleeping! It was soooo nice to have a day off and time to just be together and relax, we did go to Walmart for about an hour to get some Christmas decorations for our tree and considering the killer deals going on there was not much of a crowd. Saturday was the big Utah vs. BYU game, and Alan being the best husband ever gave up watching the game to spend time with me and my family and go on an adventure in an enchanted forest (Tree Farm in Lehi) to find the perfect Christmas tree. He was sad to have missed the game but was such a good sport and put a smile on cause he knew how important it was to me! After we found our perfect tree we all went to the Mayan for dinner which is such a fun tradition and the little kids love watching the divers. We spend Sunday afternoon attempting to put up our tree. Neither of us have ever done it before and it was a very interesting experience... But after getting it in the stand and then falling over while putting ornaments on it we were successful and it looks fabulous! Since then we have been busy with family holiday parties, Christmas movies with my family, work parties, finals,decorating our apartment,and going to see a Christmas story at the Pioneer Theater. Finals are wrapping up this week and we can't wait for them to be over so we can really get into the holiday spirit and start enjoying the season!
